Birth and Postpartum Education

In America, there is a lack of education, support and awareness of how to slow down, heal well, and enjoy the first 40-days of being present at home with your newest addition to the family. Postpartum (the fourth trimester) is often feared as it is unknown to most first time parents or often neglected because of the lack of education offered to parents in westernized American society, medicine, and culture.  I've created a holistic crash course that you only have to attend once to gain all the ancient wisdom that Traditional Chinese Medicine has to offer in order to heal WELL during postpartum. my heart for designing and creating this crash course is so that you can spread your wings after the transformation of birth and the incubation period of postpartum and fully experience rest, freedom, joy and fun with your new baby!

The class is designed for connection with the community of birth/postpartum providers in the Triangle. It is also designed to be more interactive with in-class engagement activities to best prepare you and your partner for the fourth trimester. Some of the topics that are included but not limited to are, postpartum nutrition, rest and recovery, newborn expectations, family boundaries and communication, postpartum mood disorder prevention and awareness, understanding and learning your baby, soothing and sleep techniques and so forth...
